Introduction
In 2025, EUROPEA Netherlands will organise the eighth edition of the AgroChallenge (formerly Agrolympics): a European competition for students of agricultural secondary vocational education. The event was first organised in 2015 in Luxembourg. After that, Germany, Portugal, Poland, Austria, Slovakia and Estonia took on the organisation.
With this special event, we want to draw positive attention to the green sector and the importance of good education.
We expect around 120 participants and supervisors from 20 countries.
The AgroChallenge will take place from 24 to 27 June at the Boerhaarshoeve in Grolloo.
The official opening with a flag parade and presentation of the participating teams will take place on Tuesday evening. Wednesday and Thursday will be entirely dedicated to the competition components, which will be carried out at or around the Boerhaarshoeve location.
During the 2025 edition, the organising committee would like to emphasise the innovative and sustainable character of Dutch agriculture. That is why we are working togther intensively with innovative companies and some competition components will be modernised. We also give companies the opportunity to present the latest developments in the field of sustainability and innovation to the participants.
