Rules for teams

  1. AgroChallenge is a competition open to students of the green sector. Participants must be current students from a school/institution which is member of a national EUROPEA organization.
  2. Every country can send one team consisting of 4 students The team should have mixed genders.
  3. Every team must be accompanied by at least one team-leader/coach.
  4. Only students who have not participated in AgroChallenge before can join a team.
  5. The participating student must be full-time student and under 26 years of age
  6. If a country cannot send a team, other countries may send more (first come, first serve)
  7. Member countries can organise a national competition to select the team to represent their country.
  8. A maximum of 20 teams can enter the competition.
  9. Teams can only be registered by the National Coordinator. The national coordinator will receive a link for the online registration form
  10. Registration fee is €250 per team (4 participants, 1 coach) ; For each additional person, the extra fee is € 250. The fees must be paid before the opening of the AgroChallenge.
  11. The organising committee will provide transport to and from Assen Railway station to the location, meals and accomodation from Tuesday June 24th evening until the morning of Friday June 27th.
  12. The coach is responsible for the good behaviour of his/her (see house rules)
  13. All team members must have a valid health insurance.
  14. All team members must be able and allowed to drive a tractor and to operate farm machinery.
  15. The AgroChallenge consists of 18 different practical tasks
  16. Teams solve tasks based on a predefined schedule. The schedule will be published at least one week before the competitionEvery task will last 15 minutes maximum.
  17. For each task, a set of rules will be defined and published. If applicable, short instructional videos will be published. This enables teams to prepare themselves.
  18. Tasks will be evaluated by judges (volunteers!) based on the predefined rules and instructions from the head-jury . Team members are not allowed to dispute the assessment of the judges. Points may be deducted if they do so.
  19. Only coaches may file a protest or complaint to the head-jury. Decisions made by the head-jury are final.
  20. For each task, the winning team will be given 20 points (=1st rank), the second best 19 points (=2nd rank), the third team 18, etcetera
  21. The team leaders are responsible for the good behaviour of their students during the whole stay; (24/7) The team leaders are responsible for the housekeeping (cleanness) in the accommodation; they will have to pay all damages caused by their students
  22. It is the team leader's responsibilty that the team is ready to start the AgroChallenge competition on time.
  23. At all times, instructions from the organising committee must be strictly followed.
  24. Since the AgroChallenge is an educational activity, smoking and the use of alcohol during the challenges is prohibited.
